What we have done, what we have not done, and how to reach a person if something on this site or in the app gets in your way.
What we are aiming for
We aim at WCAG 2.1 level AA. We are not there yet, and we have not been audited.
Agentible should be usable by everyone who runs a shop, including people who use a keyboard rather than a mouse, a screen reader, magnification, or a browser with motion turned down. The standard we build against is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the product do not fully meet the standard, and we have not had an independent audit that would let us say anything stronger. We would rather tell you that than publish a badge nobody earned.
What is in place today
Skip links, landmarks, labelled navigation, keyboard focus, reduced motion, light and dark themes, and layouts checked from phone to very large screens.
These are built into the site and the app, and they are checked as part of how we work:
- A skip to content link on every layout, so a keyboard user does not have to tab through the navigation on each page.
- Landmarks and headings. Pages use real
main, nav, headerandfooterregions, navigation is labelled, and headings follow their level order rather than being chosen for size. - Keyboard operation. Interactive elements are real buttons and links, so they focus, they take Enter and Space, and focus is visible.
- Reduced motion. Every animated component honours the operating system setting for reduced motion and stops moving when it is on.
- Text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology rather than described, and icons that carry meaning have accessible names.
- Light and dark themes, both maintained, so nobody is forced into the one that is harder for them to read.
- Responsive layouts, checked at 375, 768, 1024, 1440, 1920 and 2560 pixels wide in both themes, which is also what makes the site usable at high zoom.
What we have not done
No independent audit, no screen reader testing on record, no automated accessibility checks in our build, and some parts of the product we do not control.
Stated plainly, so you can judge for yourself rather than take our word for it:
- No independent audit. Nobody outside the team has assessed this product against WCAG, and there is no conformance report or VPAT.
- No screen reader testing on record. We have not run a documented pass with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver, so we cannot tell you how the app sounds.
- No automated accessibility check in our build. Our tests cover behaviour and layout, not accessibility rules, so a regression would not currently fail the build.
- Colour contrast has not been measured across every combination in both themes. It was designed for, not verified.
- Charts and score dials present figures visually. The numbers are also written out, but these have not been reviewed for how they read to assistive technology.
- The parts we do not control. Inside Shopify, our app renders within Shopify's own admin, and Shopify's accessibility is theirs to state, not ours.
Tell us about a problem
Email us. We reply within five working days, and we will tell you what we are going to do and when.
If something here is hard or impossible to use, please tell us. Email hello@agentibleapp.com with the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. Telling us the browser and any assistive technology you use helps, but do not let not knowing stop you writing.
We will reply within five working days with what we found and what we intend to do about it. If the fix is going to take a while, we will say so rather than go quiet, and we will offer another way to get the same thing done in the meantime.
We are a small team, so this is a person reading your email, not a ticket queue. That means it may take us longer to fix something than a large company would, and it means you can talk to whoever is going to fix it.
About this statement
Written by us from what is actually in the code, on the date above, and not reviewed by anyone else.
This statement was prepared by Agentible on the date shown above, based on a review of our own code rather than an external evaluation. It applies to the Agentible marketing site and the Agentible app inside Shopify.
We will update it when the answers change, including when we can remove something from the list of what we have not done.
